Description

The 1 Hôtel-Dieu Chapel in Saint-Galmier dates back to the late XV century or early XVI. This small chapel shows elegant architecture.

In one room upstairs you will find two exhibitions : one dedicated to stained glass created by the Master Glassmaker Alexandre Mauvernay who worked as a glass painter in Saint-Galmier, the other with photos, entitled "Saint-Galmier past and present". New: Two stained glass windows created by Suzanne Philidet, awarded the title "Best Craftswoman in France", reusing Mauvernay windows. Open by appointment only, on European Heritage Days.
