Description

This cross, dated of the beginning of the 16th century, comes in between two stone benches, forming a right angle and bounding a quart of circle platform. It was permited the believers to meet to pray. On the reverse side of the Christ who is flanked by St Madeleine and St Jean, appeared a Virgin of Pity between Nicodème and Joseph d'Arimathie : the Holy Gost's dove, sculpted on a canopy, go down on her.
The cross's limbs, in the shape of "écotées" branches emphasize the symbolic of the cross like a "arbre du salut". At the end of the limbs, some buches of leaves, cut in square , characterize the half of the 16th century's crosses.
