La Comète is the latest addition to Saint-Étienne’ range of cultural venues.
Once again this is the story of a conversion typical of Saint-Étienne, that of the old La Comédie (now in the creative quarter), which has been turned into a creative centre for performers and an incubator of live performances. 5 tenants share La Comète (we call them the Cometians) and, as in any house share, there are plenty of people coming and going and mingling. Everyone’s welcome in the entirely renovated building: come for a jazz evening, to take part in a theatre discovery workshop, to have a music lesson, to rehearse in one of the studios, or to see any of the shows that are on throughout the year. Without building comets in the sky (OK, mixing metaphors there…), we are sure that this new centre for artistic exploration has great days ahead of it!
