Description

"A metal blade slices and lifts the ground in Chavanelle square.
This movement creates an event sharpened by the mirror-like shine of polished stainless steel. Round plates of carved of the same material lie embedded in the paving all around.

Their surfaces are engraved with phrases that speak to passers-by of places near and far.
They read: "3 STEPS FROM HER, 4 STEPS IN FRONT OF HIM, 1000 STEPS FROM THESTATION, 1 STEP NEAR THEM, 1,000,000,000 STEPS FROM HOME,..."
The mirrors play together, bouncing reflections between feet, blade and plates. "
